College Accountant

Ongoing Position to begin at the start of Term 4 2022

St Mary’s College is returning to Year 11 in 2024 and Year 12 in 2025

Applications for a College Accountant, commencing the beginning of Term 4 2022, are invited from enthusiastic and committed applicants to join our wonderful College community. The position is ongoing, full time equivalent.

The College Accountant is a member of the Business Services and Compliance team and is responsible for all College financial functions including financial policies and procedures, management and statutory reporting, day-to-day finance operations, budgets and analysis, forward planning and auditing.

The successful applicant will possess well-developed interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills, can manage a fluctuating workload, be able to effectively manage a small team, work collaboratively, and have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children.

Essential:

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting with accounting experience and a sound understanding of accounting principles.

Desirable:

  • Certified Practising Account [CPA] or Chartered Accountant [ICA]
  • Experience working in an educational environment
  • Experience in using Technology One and Synergetic software systems
  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) user experience

On the banks of the Goulburn River; 2 minutes from the Hume Freeway with multiple daily V/Line services.
